Tagged: single image launch gallery

I was wondering if there was a way to have a single image 0 see here under crumble cottage heading: http://cartmelluxurycottages.co.uk/ that once clicked launches lightcase lightbox but with multiple images instead of just that one image – so cleint can click on single cottage image and view more images about that cottage as pop up?
hope that makes sense

The simple way to do it (not very elegant on the other hand) would be to create a gallery under the image and hide it in a div with display: none CSS attribute. The created gallery will have a data-rel=”lightbox-gallery-N” where N is the incremental number of gallery. Then the image used to trigger the lightbox has to have the sama data rel. When clicked it would display the hidden gallery.
Something like this:
<a title="" href="http://cartmelluxurycottages.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/A-Front-of-house2.jpg" data-rel="lightbox-gallery-0"> <img class="" src="http://cartmelluxurycottages.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/A-Front-of-house2.jpg"> </a> <div style="display: none;"> [gallery ids="1,2,3"> </div>26 April 2016 at 22:42 #11346
Thank you so much for getting back to me.
Apologies in delay in getting back to you, I’m not receiving notification emails in my inbox for some reason.
I added your code as instructed above, substituting the gallery id’s for the following:
<div style=”display: none;”>
You can see the test example on this page here:http://cartmelluxurycottages.co.uk/things-to-do/
Unfortunately as you can see, when you click the image it does not launch my image ID’s.
Could you possibly take a look at where I’m going wrong.
Many thanks again for your time

I am attempting the same solution with your Responsive Lightbox 1.6.8 with your PhotoSwipe ADD-On at:
I was able to get the desired single image to launch the gallery but the Photoswipe Lightbox does not work. I am using the Salient Theme 7.0.8 on WP 4.5.2.
I tried turning off all light box functionality in Salient, but they have a “select lightbox” in their options, it seems the solution would be getting PhotoSwipe to show in the dropdown. Is there a solution?24 May 2016 at 22:02 #11627
@zac smith it seems your gallery link to attachment pages intead of Media File – there is an option for this while inserting a gallery.
Please try that.31 August 2016 at 23:57 #12635ProactiefmarketingParticipant
This feature is in high demand, I am not that code savvy but I would hope for all of us learning you could give us a step by step guide to this …I love the plugin by the way it’s gotten out of more that a few jams over the past years .
I will proceed to try anyway but a simple step by step would be immensely appreciated!
Question would this work for multiple galleries on the same page ?2 September 2016 at 15:56 #12655
We’re working on a Responsive Lightbox extension that will handle the creation of that kind of galleries.
The ETA for this is 1-2 weeks.1 May 2017 at 18:34 #17363bobpisaParticipant

Is there an update to this?4 May 2017 at 11:25 #17417

Is there finally a way to launch a gallery from a single image? I have a sample single image on a post and then a gallery underneath it, but would like this same gallery also to be launched from the sample image above it (example at: https://www.medproperty.net/listings/beachfront-apartment-in-estepona/). BTW I am using Responsive Lightbox & Gallery v2.0.4). Do I need an additional plugin/add-on for that?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
