I want to add a watermark with a transparent background. It’s working well on the local version of the website (flywheel) but not working online (black background behind the watermark). the librairy option doesn’t display. I’ve contacted 1and1 to ask for ImageMagick and they answered that the plugin calls the standard path of imagemagick’s operation and therefore is not compatible with the use on 1&1 shared hosting servers.
They say I must modify the use of the plugin to match their use of imagemagick but I don’t know how to do it.
they also send me the link of the instruction page : https://assistance.1and1.fr/hebergement-c65619/programmation-c65626/php-c65653/utiliser-imagemagick-a793387.html (sorry it’s in french).
Is there a solution to my problem?6 June 2018 at 16:19 #26319
It’s not that IW is doing anything with the ImageMagic path. The plugin is just checking the existence of this extension and a number of it’s methods.
We’d rather say that 1&1 for some reason is forcing custom way of using the ImageMagic extension.
Unfortunatelly we’re not going to provide any hosting specific solution, even if we had 1&1 hosting available.
My suggestion is to switch hosting (sorry).
