    Running WP 5.6
PHP ver. 7.3 (but see same with php 5.6)

After upgrading RLG today to 2.3.0 from the ‘Gallery’ menu option is completely missing from the left hand menu. If I manually attempt to browse to the URL ending in wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=rl_gallery I get the following message:

You need a higher level of permission.
Sorry, you are not allowed to edit posts in this post type.

Nothing appears to be off for anyone browsing to the site, it’s just the missing admin menu. Is this a know issue? Is is safe to downgrade the module back to

The same problem for me, except I didn’t upgrade anything. It just disappeared today. No access to my galleries on the admin side of things.

I also miss the ‘Gallery’ menu option and if I click settings in the plugins section I also get the information that I don’t have the necessary mermissions.

Just upgraded now to 2.3.1 and there is no change, Gallery menu is still missing.

Found a fix. There is discussion about this problem at This post, and the one that follow have a fix:

I was able to resolve by temporarily disabling the plugin and then re-enabling it. Once enabled, the gallery menu comes back.

    Yes, that’s it!
Had the same issue with this plugin (versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1) and WP 5.6.

Please deactivate RLB, purge all your caches (if applicable) and reactivate the plugin.
All plugin settings will be preserved, the settings are accessible again and the “Gallery” entry should reappear in the admin (side) menu.
