I see that if I create a gallery using the dfactory categories that are custom built by your plugin I can probably accomplish this, but I want to use custom media categories that I have created outside of your plugin (using the Enhanced Media Categories plugin).
For example, my native wordpress shortcode looks like this
[gallery order="DESC" media_category="indoor" post_tag="77" size="thumbnail" columns="5"]this creates a gallery of all images with both a media category of “indoor” AND a tag of “77” Works fine for me, but does not allow me to control display and lightbox features as nicely as using your gallery tool.
The reason I prefer to create this using dfactory is that I could then control things using the Design tab in the dfactory Gallery to manage showing caption, title, description, and how those show in a lightbox.
Is there a way to do this?14 February 2019 at 00:27 #31380
Would still very much like to hear if this is possible? anyone listening?
If the native wordpress shortcode can accept a parameter such as media_category=”puppies”
why can’t the dfactory gallery? Might it be a small tweak of code to address that I could embed using snippets?
